My latest trip to Body Slam was a successful one. We have not managed to find the right weight to use from my abs yet because apparently I have strong ab muscles (although you wouldn't be able to tell that by looking at them) and we just haven't put the right amount of weight on the machine yet. The rest of the machines seem to be moving along. Over just a week, I have managed to increase the weight I use on pretty much all of the machines and I can do more reps than I could before. I felt good as I was leaving yesterday and I think it is only going to get better from here.
However last night, I caved just a bit and had some Buffalo Chicken Dip. Bad idea. It tasted great going down and did not do my stomach too nicely later. Fortunately, that's about as weak as I got last night. Everyone should be proud. There was pizza, onion dip, buffalo chicken dip and a variety of other tasty goodies that I managed to stay away from and I am proud of myself for that.
I hope everyone had a happy and safe new year and here's hoping 2010 brings us one step closer to our goals.
