Positively Frustrated

So I know what you may be thinking about the title of the blog.. "Wow, she must be really frustrated to be positively frustrated." Fortunately, that's not how I meant it. =)

I meant that I am frustrated in a positive way. This particular workout strategy focuses on the idea of building strong muscles and eating better foods. Weight loss is part of the process, but it is more of an after thought several months down the line. With this program you build more muscle mass and for this reason there is some weight gain involved. This is a good thing because muscle will burn more calories than fat and eventually once the muscles have been built up the weight will be to follow.

For me, I'm in the in between stage where I am building the muscle and therefore, the pounds are not exactly flying off. I know for a fact that I have built up new and stronger muscles from the sheer fact that the weight I lift gets heavier every week. Plus, as of right now I haven't lost too much weight, but I haven't gained any either. I am hoping that when Tanya takes the measurements in a week or two they will show positive results. I have been good about watching what I eat and I am hoping it will all pay off in the end.

Tomorrow I head back to Body Slam for my next training session and the continuation of my journey...
