Happy 2011!!!
I know I know.. I've said it before... BUT this time I really think I need to maintain my word and keep up with the blog. So for that reason, I have made it one of my resolutions for 2011.
2010 was a tough year as most of you know. To be honest, I could not wait for it to end. Every time we turned around something else was going wrong and it just seemed like we could not catch a break. However...
The second half of the year was much more manageable. We started bootcamp and met some of the most amazing and inspiring people on the planet and Ricky and I managed to kick start our weight loss journey together successfully.
Since September 13th 2010, I have lost a total of 32 pounds. I know its crazy to think about, but I did it. Granted, I have a long way to go, but for the first time in a long while I made it past the typical dieting point. Ricky has lost 35 pounds so far as well. I am so proud of what we have accomplished over the past 4 months and a great deal of that success has to go to the people who attend bootcamp. There is so much support and love that comes from that room that its hard not to succeed. Ricky and I have set our goals for our ultimate weight loss and we have calculated that we are approximately half way there. Since bootcamp in the fall helped us achieve half of our goal, we decided to reenlist in bootcamp and will be attempting to reach our second weight loss goal over the next 3 months.
Now I know this is my weight loss journey in blog form, but I have always been told that by writing down your goals they are more likely to come to fruition. So for that reason I am posting my resolutions in an attempt to make them happen.
2011 New Years Resolutions
* Maintain my blog in an attempt to keep myself on track and possibly inspire others to do the same
* Continue my weight loss journey and reach my goal weight
* Go to the gym on my off days from bootcamp to build muscle
* Successfully complete the Disney Princess Half Marathon in February
* Reach my goal weight so Ricky and I can start our family
* Maintain better records for our home
* Make sure Ricky knows how much I love and appreciate him
*Maintain a positive attitude no matter what =)
I know I have a decent list, but making just one resolution just didn't seem to fit. I cannot guarantee how often I will blog, but I am hoping its at least once a week.
So to the few and far between who read my blog, I thank you for being my support and I look forward to what 2011 has in store for us and those we love.
